Apprenticeship Grant for Employers (AGE 16-24)
The Apprenticeship Grant for Employers provide financial support to employers who wish to take on an apprentice. If eligible the grant it is worth £1,500 per apprentice and you can receive up to five grants. The grant has helped thousands of employers grow their businesses through Apprenticeships.
Is your business eligible for the Apprenticeship Grant for Employers?
To be eligible you must:
- Be unable to recruit an apprentice without the grant
- Have fewer than 50 employees in the UK
- No Apprenticeship starts in the previous 12 months
- Employ your apprentice for a minimum of 12 months or time it takes to complete the Apprenticeship
You must agree to pay your apprentices at least the legal minimum and only one grant is available per apprentice.

Which apprentices qualify?
Any new recruits aged 16-24 who live in England and are not in full- time education.
